Everyone seems to post Finished Friday projects, but I don’t have anything recently finished. I do, however, have a new project. I posted a few days ago that I wasn’t happy with how big my v-stitch blanket was coming out since it was supposed to be a twin. And, it’s not just a little big for a twin, it’s a little big for a queen. I haven’t scrapped the project but I have set it to the side to make something actually twin sized.
This is the new project! It’s called Entrelac crochet, and it’s the same technique used in Tunisian crochet but the awesome thing is that you can use a regular crochet hook, so no new equipment needed! This is my first attempt and I actually think it’s coming out pretty good. This design starts from the middle square and works its way outward to be as big or small as you want it to be. You can even square off the corners when you’re done.
Here’s a link to the youtube video I watched to learn how to do this. Mikey of the Crochet Crowd is great at explaining things in an easy to understand way, plus he’s pretty hilarious too.
